RepoHist

Tracking the popularity of GitHub repositories over time.

About

RepoHist tracks stars and forks for public GitHub repositories. It draws a chart of that history over time.

Add any repository by its GitHub URL or its owner/repo name. Its history starts on the day you add it.

Each chart works as an image. Paste its link into a README and it updates on its own.

RepoHist was inspired by star-history.com. GitHub restricted star data in 2026, so full, unrestricted access is no longer possible. RepoHist works around this by watching each repository's public star count instead. It saves a snapshot on every visit, so a chart's history begins the day you add the repository.
